Quality & Safety

Health & Safety

Maintaining a safe working environment is a core value across all TERMA operations.

Safety First

Overview

Mechanical works involve lifting, hot work, work at height, confined spaces and pressure testing. TERMA plans every activity so these hazards are identified and controlled before work begins, and makes sure everyone on site understands the controls that apply to their task.

Safety is everyone's responsibility. Supervisors lead by example, every worker is empowered to stop unsafe work, and near misses are reported, investigated and shared so that the same risk is not faced twice.

Focus Areas

  • Risk Assessment

Hazards identified and controls defined for every activity before it starts.

  • Method Statements

Safe work methods reviewed with the crew and approved before work begins.

  • Permit-to-Work Systems

Formal permits for high-risk tasks such as hot work, confined spaces and live systems.

  • Toolbox Talks

Short daily briefings that keep hazards and controls front of mind.

  • Safety Inspections

Regular inspections of work areas, equipment and practices, with actions tracked to closure.

  • Incident Prevention

Near-miss reporting, investigation and lessons shared across projects.

How we keep sites safe

  1. 01

    Identify

Hazards and risks assessed for each activity.

  2. 02

    Plan

Method statements and permits prepared and approved.

  3. 03

    Brief

Crews briefed through inductions and toolbox talks.

  4. 04

    Monitor

Inspections, observations and corrective actions on site.

Records we deliver

  • Project health and safety plan
  • Activity risk assessments
  • Approved method statements
  • Permit-to-work records
  • Induction, toolbox talk and training records
  • Inspection, observation and incident reports
